The Big Wong is a Chinatown experience. The food is excellent and served very very fast. And it is one of few values in NYC. The atmosphere is loud and chaotic and you need to be prepared for seemingly surly service. Great things to order include the wonton soup with shrimp and pork (the wontons are excellent), the peking duck noodle soup, and the salt and pepper squid tempura (the batter is amazing). Don't be dismayed by the rudeness by some of the wait staff and the feeling of being rushed. This is the pace of this restaurant. Some of the staff don't speak English well, so we often find ourselves asking for help with meal choices at the front counter before we are seated.
