Description: Le Colonial is a truly delightful culinary experience. Like stepping into French Colonial Southeast Asia, this two-story restaurant, designed by Greg Jordan, consists of a main dining room with louvered wall panels, colorful tile floors, and vintage photos of Vietnam. Upstairs is an elegant, but lively, lounge serving a full dinner or just appetizers and cocktails. The lounge serves as an ideal setting for private parties and business dinners. Le Colonial serves an authentic Vietnamese menu with an emphasis on fresh seafood, meats, and vegetables.

The downstairs dining area is lovely but a bit sterile. Upstairs is where you want to sit. With it's dark wood, palm trees, and attentive servers who will remember your drink order if you visit more then twice a year. You can almost be convinced you've taken a step back into some indochina fantasy! The duck and curries are standouts on a somewhat limited but good menu.

my wife writes.
Reunion night for 3 sisters scattered across the globe. We all wanted this to be a very special night and Le Colonial certainly delivered. As soon as we arrived, the impecable yet charmingly, unpretentious service made us feel comfortable to enjoy a very relaxed, unhurried evening. The dishes were truly memorable, exquisitely presented with some wonderful flavours. We left feeling that we had been transported to another time where service and standards truly matter.

This is one of my favourite restaurant interiors, the main dining room is decorated in a colonial style but enhanced by beautiful cornicing and a mosaic floor. Upstairs there is a lively bar and a less formal dining area. Service is French style formality to match white linen table clothes and the old fashioned vibe. I wish the food was fresher and more interesting. The fish mains are good, but some of the meat dishes lack authenticity. I find the wines a bit predictable as well. Still, I enjoy eating here and will return again.

Enter the timeless elegance and professional service of colonial Vietnam. Old fashioned ceiling fans, wooden window shutters and a subdued feeling let you enjoy another era as you dine on very good cuisine, with a nice selection of wines, and champagne, by the glass. Well prepared food, in a lovely setting, with an unobtrusive and accommodating waitstaff creates the perfect dinner for two, or even a celebratory meal.
