Was curious to visit given the mixed reviews, particularly on some of the US restaurant sites.
Beautiful surroundings (we chose the upstairs eating area; dark but quieter than the main restaurant) in keeping with the colonial theme.
As somebody who spends several months a year traveling in Asia, I reckon the food was pretty good, compared to normal Westernised fare. Try the Aubergine for starters.
Service was a little hit and miss; staff not particularly friendly or attentive, but that was fine as I prefer not to be disturbed every five minutes.
Not cheap, but reasonable for quality of food and surroundings.
