“Jordan's has fouled out”
Reviewed August 1, 2013 via mobile

Depressing . Not busy except for bar. Sleepwalking staff. Nice view of Grand Central if you enjoy watching people miss their trains. My wife thought her boneless ribeye was very good...rest of table said nothing about food. Boring place. Won't go back.

“Great Food in a Great Location”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

The location of this restaurant is a great starting point for an evening out. We had a lovely quiet table overlooking the station. The steak was delicious and very tender. The service was good but unobtrusive. I would definitely go back!!

“Dinner 7/27 Grand Central Terminal”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

After consistent recommendations from very close friends, we decided to check it out after we dropped off a friend at the station, Saturday night around 8pm, not busy at all. Asked to sit at the rail overlooking the grand space, seemed to have bothered the hostess.

The good- wonderful views of the main concourse! Great for people watching and taking in the wonderful architecture. Nice balanced menu selection, prices at a par for NY but less than what we experience at home at Cap Grill, Elway's, Morton's, etc. Bread and Gorgonzola fondue, a bit silly with toast sticks, salads were fine. Tune, nicely crusted and cooked perfectly. AC and Cheese was nicely done.

The bad- service was def lacking which is too bad. Food was okay but not over the top for a steak house, baked Alaska not really baked Alaska.

In summary- if it wasn't for this location, you wouldn't go. Don't get me wrong the food is fine but there are tons of others places sans GCT!

“Cool atmosphere”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

We did visit Michael Jordan’s on the last trip to NY. We all ordered different meals … ranging from stake fish. The main dishes were excellent … also most of the side dishes were good. If you like meat or fish and you want to spend some time sitting in the Grand Central station watching the people and enjoying the atmosphere, then have a look at this restaurant.

“MJ Dead? The service surely is...”
Reviewed July 25, 2013 via mobile

Hard to believe this is the same place visited in 2006. Service has died. Waiting. Waiting is what you get now. Dined at lunchtime on a Wednesday not that busy, waited an hour plus (yep 60 stomach panging minutes) for 2 of us to get steaks. Wife had the restaurant week special that includes dessert, but they never even brought it! But they did charge for it. Overpriced, nice view that you can get for free anyways, and hourlong waits for food. Waiter did not seem to notice how everyone kept standing, waving, even the clapping of the 5 Japanese businessmen who were desperately trying to spend money. They were waving arms, shaking heads and laughing. After an hour and a half the guys next to us got their steaks. My mini ribeye was good, wife did not enjoy the strange texture of her premium priced filet. When I told the greeter (that's all she was, sorry) about our experience she merely smiled and nodded as if to say yes that's not a surprise, then said sorry. If you don't mind overpaying for a decent steak in an overheated part of grand central and waiting so long you forget your order then this is the place for you.
