Description: Hudson Hall is a casual and stylish drinking and dining destination in New York's iconic Hudson. Located in the space previously occupied by Hudson Cafeteria, Hudson Hall is a modern, collegiate mess hall that allows guests to craft their meal, through the selection of small plates created from premium sustainable-organic products, indigenous to the New York-Hudson Valley area. Dishes highlight a diverse melting pot of cultural references derived from relationships built with boutique farmers.

Very odd experience. Food was of a very average quality. Would not dine here again. Try the Sushi place down the road.

Not a Real Restaurant. Good if there is nothing else around but that is not the case in New York City

This place has the charm of a subway station. Cold attitude and the food is so so.

I was too tired to go anywhere else for dinner (I was staying in the Hudson Hotel), so opted for the house restaurant. Great waitress. Food was very good and considering it was NYC, about average price--$10 for an excellent baby beet salad artfully arranged; $18 for tuna tartare...very fresh. Food is supposed to be cafeteria/tapas style, but a slow crowd the night I was there meant most dishes were prepared to order. Only drawback on the maple egg custard was that I would have used "B" grade maple syrup, which has stronger maple flavor; the custard was first-rate. My margarita was not; too much tequila obliterated the fresh lime juice; I prefer a balanced drink.

Trendy/funky decor, but as someone once said, "You can't eat the decor." More choices would have been nice, but what limited fare there was was decent.

BTW, does anybody remember Horn & Hardart's?
