Get the lobster and seafood pasta (al diavlo) or the stuffed veal if on the menu. A great option if you're in the mood for a nice big Italian dinner.

Recently on honeymoon and accompanied by our Bridesmaid and Groomsman, we stumbled upon this little gem, while walking around little Italy.

We were welcomed, right from the very beginning and by every member of staff in the place, seated with the waiter right away.

The decor was plain and in keeping with the rest of the resturant, which had an Italian American theme.

Food was excellent for the price and I'm somewhat perplexed by other reviews on TA, saying that the food was ok? If you want fine Italian dining, yer in the wrong place!!

The waiting staff couldn't have been better but I think that if you engage with the staff anywhere ( not just here) on their level then the service is always better.

We all had a nice meal, great wine recommendations also by the guys, to accompany and compliment the particular plate.

All in all, I would have no hesitation in recommending Da Nico's to anyone who wants nice Italian food for a reasonable price with decent service. Well done guys

Dificult to make a choice in Little italy. So we relied on our shortlist (webdites inspired) and a glance at the menus (price and choice).
If the waiters and decorating are welcoming, the food was finally very average.  Too salty and not that tasty. Not what you excpect from an italian restaurant in the middle of Little Italy.
If you want good italian food, go to Italy or buy a cook book.

We decided to wander through Mulberry St for lunch and came to Da Nico's. I knew the nme from reviews so we decided to give it a go. This must have been an of day. The food is actually very good and reasonably priced...The bolognese was excellent, as was our chicken marsala...But the service leaves a lot to be desred... Where to start. The bread was brought with butter on the side, not garlic.. We had to ask twice for it. Then the salads came quickly and we asked for grated cheese. The busboy came over and started scooping the cheese (across the table no less) and when he went to my wife over my shoulder half the cheese went on her lap...ok, apology accepted. While we are about half done with our salads, the food came out and they just started serving it we had to act quick to move our unfinished salad plates out of the way. Thats the last time we saw our waiter as he was sitting at the bar having his lunch for the remainder of our time there. ... Once the table was cleared, then we were given a plate of pizza fritta (fried dough with sugar) which we did not ask for so we figured "on the house"..wrong it was on the bill.... We paid the bill and left. !

And PS, my fork had crusty food on it....

Being Italian and having eaten some pretty amazing Italian food in my lifetime this place doesn't even come close. Find somewhere else. They service is appalling... arrogant staff who brought us our food and never returned (even after the all time we spent trying to get their attention) until we nearly finished our meal and they came over and asked if "everything was ok here?" Too late buddy... then we were dumped a pile of cold fried Italian doughnuts and were told "complimentary". Don't go there!
