Description: Since 1963, Victor’s Cafe, a family-run New York City landmark, continues to be a culinary voyage to Cuba offering an incomparable experience with its harmony of authentic cuisine, hospitality and stylish environment. Victor’s has the unique distinction of being both luxurious and casual, serene and high energy, family oriented and romantic, exotic yet familiar. The cuisine at Victor’s includes the most delicious, authentic dishes combined with the restaurant’s exclusive creations that represent the evolution of Cuban cuisine. Signature dishes include Victor’s famous black bean soup, shredded beef (“Ropa Vieja”), and roast suckling pig (“Lechon”). The restaurant itself is divided into three spacious dining rooms, accented with warm lighting, colorful Cuban art, tropical ceiling fans, and lofty sky-lit ceilings. The restaurant's Cuba Lounge is intimate and warm, featuring a tapas menu and a variety of traditional Cuban cocktails such as Mojitos and Sangria.

“Cuban surprise”

In the lounge same food more fun. Tapas fresh and tasty. As a Canadian allowed to visit Havana can vouch for the authenticity of the food and flavors. Good location for pretheatre dinner. No need to opt for main room. Service friendly and expert. Recommended!

“restaurant with a heart”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 26, 2013

Our family has been big fans of this restaurant for years but had a bad experience with a waiter last summer when we came to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday. The owner's daughter caught wind of our unhappiness and offered to make amends the next time we were in town. While we could not readily make it into NYC, our daughter visited NY and the restaurant recently and could not have been happier when she had a pre-theater dinner with a friend. She was blown away by the service, the food and the ambiance. In her words, "I love that restaurant!" On my part, I was amazed to find an old-fashioned business that takes its customers so seriously and strives so hard to do a good job. We will certainly continue to enjoy the festive and fun atmosphere of 'old Havana' as we have been doing for years. You will feel like you have been transported to a NY of a different era. Tip: do not pass up the sangria with its preserved guava, the cassava fingers with dip, or the paella. Just delicious.

“First Class Restaurant in Heart of Theatre District”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

Having purchased tickets to see Jersey Boys, my wife and I knowing it would be freezing cold on the day of the show, decided to try Victors, which is directly across the street from the theatre.
I had heard/read about VIctors in the past and knew they enjoyed a reputation of being the best Cuban restaurant in NYC. My wife and I always however take rave reviews about manhatten restaurants with a grain of salt, because they rarely live up to thier hype and are usually if not always extremly over priced. To our joy, VIctors truned out to be an exception to the rule.
The decor was very nice, the service was warm and excellent and the food was fantastic, and moderatly priced, considering the Manhatten location. The black bean soup was "to die for", and was a great begining to a excellent meal. The marquretta was good as well.
We wil return, and we will and do reccomend Victors to our friends.

“One of the best in Theatre District”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

This is one of my favorite places to go when seeing a broadway show. SImply one of the best cuban restaurants in NY. The food is consistently good. I have been eating here for years and have NEVER had a bad meal or service. Wonderful place for an anniversary or pre-wedding (bridal party) meal. I highly recommend their "Filete de Pargo en Camisa de Platano". Their sangria is the best ever w/ huge pieces of delicious guava. Make sure to have their flan for dessert. Well worth the price for any special occasion. Their prix-fixe & after theatre menus are very reasonably priced w/ great selections. You will not be disappointed!

“By far one of my favorites in the Big Apple”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

Victor's makes it happen in Times Square and this is where I go to eat, drink and be merry. It the quality of the companions, of course, just as it is the location, but Cuban food and drink brings out the best in me, and this is amongst the best Cuban food you will ever eat.
