Every trip to NYC is not complete without a bite of John's pizza! You will be happy to buy the whole pie as it is delicious from start to finish. I have even brought some home to CA like in Iron Man to an appreciative audience.

“No Slices But Lots of Fun!”
Reviewed October 23, 2013

Right smack in the middle of the theater district, John's is a Pizza Mecca. If you're looking for a quiet intimate spot -- this isn't it. It's a bustling, cavernous ,noisy, but fun place to get a much better than average pizza at a pretty good price. There are tables everywhere you look, so our wait, even right before Saturday matinee time, was only 10 minutes. The main room has stained glass windows and a domed stained glass ceiling because, as our waiter told us, this was a church before it was a pizza parlor. We were seated on a balcony that overlooked the main room. We saw at least 4 pizza oven going and the pies coming out were in great shape with perfect crusts and toppings. We ordered a bruschetta pizza which was just cheese and marinated tomatoes. Only complaint was that there should have been a lot more of the tomato topping -- the sprinkling of the bruschetta portion of the recipe was too sparse. A shared salad was full of onions and mushroom and tomatoes. They charge extra for dressings that aren't the house vinaigrette. Service was prompt and efficient and it was a great pizza eating, people watching experience.

“Great classic NYC pizza.”

This is a branch of John's of Bleeker Street. But it does not take a back seat. It sets about a block off of Times Square so can be busy but it is worth it. Huge vaulted ceilings are unexpected but pretty cool. We had a small pepperoni pizza (which was plenty for 2 people) and it was delicious. Friendly service. No slices, only whole pizzas. Desserts and other options available too. Great to go to before or after the theater. Accepts major credit cards (some NYC places are cash only).

“John's Pizzeria - Times Square”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

In the city for the day on Saturday to see Kinky Boots. Our lunch at John's Pizzeria added to the great day. It is refreshing to see the pizza dough stretched out in front of us in two corners of the room. Our margherita pizza was delicious, thin crust and very crispy. Our only complaint was the salad dressing for our house salad. The oil and vinegar dressing was made so tart by the vinegar that the 3 of us barely touched the salad. Our waiter was very efficient and helped answer questions from our 4th dinner who has lactose issues. I highly recommend John's for great pizza and a good experience while in the theater district.

“Great Visit”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

Loved our meal here. Great pizza, reasonable prices, nice ambiance. We were seated quickly. Our waiter was very nice. Didn't pay an outrageous price for a bottle of wine, like many places charge in NYC. Just a few minute walk to many Broadway theaters. We will be back.
