Description: Innovative American Cuisine, Great Specials & More...If you've not yet discovered Philip Marie, a neighborhood gem in the heart of the West Village, you're in for a real treat. It's here that Executive Chef and Owner John Philip Greco III works his culinary magic in an environment steeped in New York City's hidden past. Despite its historic setting, replete with secret underground passages, a former speak-easy and the shadows of a 200-year old love story, the restaurant's concept and menu exhibit the young, hip creative take on "good ol' American food" with which the owner opened his brain-child 15 years ago. Philip Marie's main dining room continues to set the stage for some of the most innovative American dishes in New York, including wild game, exotic meats, fresh seafood and irresistible desserts. An extensive Wine List & Reserve list, boasting incredible wines from around the world, enables a perfect wine-food pairing for each luscious course, while the bar offers unique cocktails. A warm and attentive staff helps to maintain Philip Marie's extremely devoted clientele.

I couldn't have asked for a bette ffirst experience. It was amazing! The place is really nice and the waitress wad adorable. But let's talk about the food ... it was perfect! I did not know what was a brunch and now I want to have brunches for the rest of my life, everyday.
We were told by a friend of us to go there and I will never thank him enough. Best first brunch ever.

On one hand, some of the food was terrific--shrimp burrito--and some was ok--frittatas and omelets. One the other hand, the waitress was good and on the other hand the kitchen messed up several orders and took an hour to prepare our meals.

this place does not get as busy as some of the others in the area but the breakfast we very good. I had scrambled eggs that were a little too well cooked but still very good and my husband had the Marie Wrap that was very tasty. The regular coffee also came with refills.
Service was good and this looks like it would be a great restaurant to visit in the evenings. There is a cute wine cellar bar in the basement.
The only thing is that due to some law you can not sit outside on a Sunday morning before 12....... bizarre considering the noise that comes from the street.....

Had a very pleasant evening last night at Philip Marie, ate outside, not too noisy though we were directly on Hudson. Staff very attentive, food decent, not too expensive. Would recommend a dinner there anytime.

This was a lovely little restaurant in the West Village and I was surprised at how good it was.
I ordered a wine that the bartender suggested and it was perfect. It is a small restaurant but
we had reservations and would be a good suggestions for diners. The menu was interesting with
offerings of some home cooked items like fried green tomatoes and also had specials each night. Our meals ware all very good. The wait staff was so friendly and helpful. Great location not far
from the Chelsea area. Away from the crazy crowds around Time Square.
