Stopped here after walking around the area. Restaurant is spacious and clean, music is current and the decor makes it a fun place to hang out for a drink or a quick meal. Besides the appetizers, nothing here is different to what you may get at any other chain restaurant. Service was very spotty (maybe because of the hour) but given that there were only two other tables besides ours I would have expected a more personalized treatment.

Ate here with a friend. It was solid if unspectacular. Best thing we had were pulled pork sliders. Frito pie was also good but overall nothing special. Service was adequate but lacked any personal touch.

We came here since we had a discount certificate, so in all, my meal came to about half price. The Cheeseburger had good flavor and had nice, smokey onions (optional). Lots of tasty fries came with that. The Chicken Fried Steak was a bit tough, but a nice portion, with mashed potatoes, white gravy and your choice of a side order (sauteed spinach for me). The service was friendly, but a little slow as they seemed short on waitstaff, but we were not in any rush. There's a pool table, dart board and a photo booth available.

Check your bill as ours already had a gratuity charge on it, maybe because we were using a discount certificate. Maybe the waitstaff should inform you if they're adding that to your bill? There are a few other bbq places in this neighborhood to try; one being right across the street.

This restaurant has moved to 37 W 26th st.
Portions were small, over done & expensive for what you got. The saving grace was the sweet potato fries. The bathroom smelled badly of urine. Service was average. Save your money - go to Blue Smoke around the corner up or BBQ at Hill Country across the street.

I learned an interesting lesson here about the perception of British visitors to New York.

There's an assumption Brits don't tip - so why bother with the service. As a result, we don't tip, because the service is rubbish, and so the service gets even worse... you can see how this would snowball.

Pity, because it's not a bad place. But once you've sat at the bar, being ignored for twenty minutes as you try to give people money, the charm kind of fades.

Oh, and we did tip - but mainly out of bloody-mindedness, to make a point. So in fact we gave someone money for nothing at all. Which perhaps is entirely the purpose of tourism to New York.
