A local recommended this restaurant in Hell's Kitchen and we three enjoyed the hands on vegetarian meal. Two of us had not experienced this type of eating but soon learned to love it. The single hostess, server, etc was professional, personable and efficient.

Okay. Make sure you have plenty of time!!! It took 45 minutes to get our food and considering it was lunch and not busy it was somewhat puzzling. If this is their usual speed of service, it s no wonder that they have to lunch crowd!!!
The food though was fantastic! Definitely a global top 20 %...So make sure you have the time to wait and savor their dishes.

We stopped in for lunch. We sampled 2 dishes which were served 'family style' on the thin bread. Very tasty - although it cools fast. Almost a carbon copy of the Ethiopian restaurant I visited in DC.

i heard about this place and the great reviews and yes the appetizers were great the bread great the lentils amazing but i ordered some lamb and i almost choked on bones there was practically no meat in my meal. It was pretty awful i had to order more lentils cause I was hungry not willling to choke down my meal due to the bones that they considered lamb meat.

The four in our party ordered both of the signature items in this small and bustling Ethiopian eatery. One was the Taste of Sheba Combination Sampler consisiting of five beef and two lamb dishes (but no poultry selections). The other was the meatless version of the sampler consisting of seven of their vegetarian selections. The large platter served with the traditional bread of Ethiopia - injera - which is a spongy bread ideal for dipping and scooping these delicacies - was enough to happily fill all four of us. We had expected to treat this as an appetizer and then order main courses, but it was enough food to skip ordering any entrees. Everyone enjoyed each of the fourteen items on the platter as well as the hands only-no utensil experience. The only minor negative was the slow service. There appeared to be too many diners for the too few serving staff. The cocktails and wine took a long time to arrive, but the slow service did not detract too greatly from the overall pleasant dining experience.
