“Great Ethiopian Food”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

We had lunch at Queen of Sheba. We got 2 samplers for the 2 of us (one regular and one vegetarian). It's plenty of food, will probably feed 3. Great place if you're looking for a different kind of cuisine.

“Great Ethiopian Food”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

Heading to a Thai restaurant after touring the Intrepid Museum, we saw the Queen of Sheba from the street corner. Intrigued, we went closer and from the fading photos in the window it looked like a great place to go, back in the 1970's! But we love Ethiopian food so went in and were promptly taken to a table. The hostess and waitstaff were friendly and professional. After looking at the menu we decided on the vegetarian sampler and a chicken dish (can't recall the name). Everything was fantastic. As good as any Ethiopian food we've ever had. The interior of the place leaves much to be desired, but we didn't go there to look around, we went for great Ethiopian food and that's what we got!

“Very Good Food. Good Price”
Reviewed August 12, 2012

This is only the second Ethiopian Restaurant I have dined in, but I thought the food was simply outstanding. Out party of five enjoyed eating at one of the basket tables, each ordered something different. Portions were so plentiful we could not finish it all.

The wait staff was attentive, the food was flavorful.

Just a couple blocks off Tomes Square, this is a great dining option

“Fantastic Ethiopoan food”
Reviewed July 22, 2012

I love ethiopian, and while this isn't the cheapest you'll find (obviously, you're in NYC) its extremely tasty and is in a great touristy location.
Try and get one of the basket tables, you'll see them when you're inside to the left. The veggie sampler is so great, we split a veggie sampler and a meat sampler between four of us and it was plenty of food; bill was around $64 I believe, including a few beers and tea.

“Excellent”
Reviewed July 12, 2012

I dined here in January 2012 and it was a bitter cold, but once inside the warmth of the food, Ethiopian wine, and friendly service, I forgot about the frigidness of the winter cold. The restaurant is quite small and was very busy when we arrived. The server was very attentive to us and helpful with ordering/selecting. The next time I'm in New York, I will return.
