I've done other tours of NYC on previous trips, and this was by FAR the best. Our guide, Katherine, was awesome - informative and engaging, and her enthusiasm for the city's history was evident. The tour was so much more than just the names and descriptions of buildings - it was full of interesting facts and stories that painted an image of a vibrant city. It was truly my favorite part of our trip. Katherine was also nice enough to give us information for other places to visit and recommended some really great restaurants. Highly recommended!

The tour was great. Katherine was very knowledgable and enthusiatic guide. The tour took us to few areas of lower Manhatten we've never been and added the history and stories behind the familiar places brought the city to life. Highly recommended.

We had a great tour. I thought I knew NY history pretty well, but Katherine blew me away with her knowledge of facts, trivia, and her enthusiastic presentation! In addition, the tour was very well paced, and left us ready to go explore more in depth some of what we had seen. Would love to see this kind of a fun, relaxed tour in some other parts of the city some year, as we usually come to NYC every other year. Thanks again!

Usually I'm not a fan of guide tours. But this time it was very interesting and not boring at all!
Our guide Mike was very enthusiastic about showing us all the sights and it made fun listening to him. He not only gave us the common information about the different places but also some funny facts and anecdotes. It was very personal since we were only four people and thus Mike was able to give us good tips for our stay in New York. Also Mike always searched for shady places, benches and restrooms so we were taken care of relly well and the tour didn't get exhausting, even though it took longer then 2 hours at 35 degrees celsius.
All in all, it would higly recommend Sandemans NY if you are looking for an interesting, informative guide tour for free! You don't have to pay anything but you can give a tip at the end of the tour. And you certainly will do that because the guide tours are really amazing.
