Description: The Porterhouse Brewing Co. at Fraunces Tavern, is located in one of the city's most historic landmarks in the downtown Financial District. The Porterhouse offers a large range of small batch and specialty beers, serving traditional American food with a strong Irish influence. Fraunces Tavern has been a part of our city's history since 1762. Now under new management, you can expect a modern experience in an authentic historical space while enjoying great food, drinks, and atmosphere.

The best I have ever had! Period.
The cod filet must have been close to a pound (450 gr)
Perfect place for a good Stout Beer and to relax with friends, family or business partners.
Our waitress Gloria was a total sweetheart!

My family and I had 2 Tavern burgers, kids grilled cheese (which looked amazing), whole chicken wings (they don’t have ranch), 2 Impossible burgers with sweet potato fries. A root beer, iced tea, 2 rose lemonades. Our total was $218.77! They also charge a service charge, which is included on your final bill. The food was good, very fresh! I would probably go to the museum and not eat in the restaurant. Unless you prefer fancy!

Landed here with a friend after escaping a beer joint that was furiously peddling the patently ridiculous notion that it was the hottest club in town - roped-off area, large stuffed-shirt bouncer and all. Uhhh, no. Skedaddled and settled into seats at the Porterhouse pub's bar and instantly life became lovely once again. The building is old of course but the space spotless and well-appointed, giving off reassuring how-classic- pubs-should-be-done vibe. The service and beverage and food choices were excellent. The bartender who welcomed us warmly was friendly, knowledgable, helpful, very patient and most kind - thank you so much! Good drinks, tasty food and a truly wonderful time were enjoyed here and we will definitely be back.

Renovated, Landmark in New York City with a fascinating history. An important place during the Revolutionary War, you can visit this place as a museum, or restaurant/bar/ tavern. The many rooms speak to American history; Washington Room, Lafayette's Hideout, the Dingle Whiskey Bar, Bissell Room, Wine Room, Bourbon Lounge and the Tavern. I came for a charity function and was so happy to see an attentive staff! An absolute must for anyone!

Full of history, and great food! Great staff/service, in a quaint setting. Very busy when we visited for lunch, after meeting one of the bar staff the night before who told us to make the effort to find it. Glad we didn’t!
