Found this pub on trip adviser and decided to check it out. Great selection of food and drinks and the Irish decor is fab, nothing like any other Irish pub we went to! Loved it and would definitely go back!

I was asked to find a venue for an office Christmas Party and stumbled on this place by accident while walking along 8th Avenue, which turned out to be a really good choice.

We had a party of 20 co workers and ordered finger food and beer and reserved a space at the rear of the pub, courtesy of a nice Scottish lady from Glasgow a few weeks before.

We had booked two hours in December for our Xmas party and were rewarded with a cozy space at the back of the pub.

The dips and plates were very tasty and the fruit was generally fresh. All in all ll the experience was worth it for our office party.

My husband & I came upon this pub on a recent trip to New York City. It was freezing cold & we were looking for a place to have a hot drink before getting our flight back to NL. When we walked in the door, we felt right at home. It reminded us of our local pub in St. John's, NL & we were treated as regulars. The bartender was quite entertaining with a colourful personality & the staff were very friendly & accommodating. After our Irish Coffees warmed our inards, we had a pint of Harp before venturing out into the cold again. This was the only pub that served Harp on tap that we had found, so it was a pleasant surprise! The menu sounded very good & even though we didn't order food, it looked quite appetizing. We will definitely go back on our next visit to NYC.

We've been to this restaurant/bar so many times over the years when we visit NYC. It never fails us!
Whether having a casual or more upscale meal (invariably tasty and well-prepared), or just stopping in for a drink or two...or three...which we did this time, we love the atmosphere, the quality of the food, and the friendliness of the entire staff (best...bartenders...anywhere).

My husband and I recently ate here on a cold winters night. We were among the early diners, so the restaurant wasn't very busy. We had a great server. Very attentive to us, as well as the other diners. We both ordered the shepherds pie and were so glad we did! The textures and flavors were perfect. The servings were hearty. (I couldn't even finish all of mine!!)
With drinks and dinner, it only came to $48!
We will definitely return to Tir Na Nog!
