Description: Welcome to our East Village home! Caracas Arepa Bar has been serving Venezuelan arepas on East 7th Street since 2003. Join us in our cozy dining room for lunch and dinner specials everyday, as well as brunch on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. As any of our regulars will tell you, there's usually no way of escaping the evening wait at the door - but please, be patient and let us welcome you to a much deserved Caracas experience on the other side. Due to our limited space, we do not recommend parties greater than five people in our Manhattan location. We cannot accept reservations - all seating is done on a first come, first serve basis. Caracas Arepa Bar is proud to be part of the East Village community, and appreciates the customer loyalty within the neighborhood.

“good things come in small packages”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

this place is small and usually packed, but the wait is worth it. the arepas are fantastic and i agree that 7-9$ for one is a bit pricey but if you have two its definatly a meal. i enjoyed the beef, black bean and sweet plaintain arepa. they are about the size of a hockey puck but weigh about a pound!!! a must have if you are in area. brooklyn location is just as good!

“Cute, Cozy, and Delicous”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

My brother who lives in the area recommended going here for dinner. The menu is mostly Arepas a few salads and one or two dishes. Plan on ordering some kind of Arepa (plenty to choose from including vegetarian). They serve drinks as well and the atmosphere is a bit dark and rustic making it cozy. The service was friendly being just perfect for a neighborhood restaurant. The sauce for the Arepas is excellent!
