“Always a stellar meal!”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

Been here just about every time I make a pilgrimage to New York,
This was probably my 8th visit.
Service is always terrific.
Moroccan food prepared perfectly, the hummus is velvety smooth, the tabouli among the best I've ever had.
There is nothing I can say abou this place that will do it justice, but if you find yourself in the St. Mark's area, drop in, have a half tea/half lemonade, get started on a few appetizers, and before long, you will want to write a review as well.

“Great Food, Very Reasonable Prices!!!”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

walking by this hood, east village, I ask some local what was a good restaurant. Ther pointed to this mediterranean, middle eastern cuisine restaurant. It was very good. Although you may have to wait a bot since os very popular with the locals. Appetizers for 5 bucks, babaganoush, and eggplant with tahini, delicious!!!! The dinner menu seems to be more interestibg than the brunch menue. i had a lamb burger with delicious french fries. And the Chilean merlot, Casa lapostolle, was very well priced at $40. Not many places in the hood were you can beat those prices and quality.

“Good food, nice service and neighborhood feel”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

This place was hopping the entire time we were there. The wait staff was friendly, the outdoor seating entertaining (as always in NYC) and the atmosphere relaxed. The appetizers were delicious I had the cauliflower and it was excellent. My husband's Lebna was equally good. My main disappointment and the reason why this is not getting an excellent is the lamb tagine. The lamb really, really tasted off. I also feel if you're serving meat on the bone, it should be pointed out/mentioned. My husband had merguez over couscous. While the couscous was very nice, the merguez (in my opinion) was undercooked and not spiced/seasoned enough. I've had merguez many times before and this was not quite all it's meant to be. Other than that, it was very, very good. Just not as much as I'd hoped it would be based on the rave reviews.

“Always Superb!”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

The Moroccan food here is about the best in the City. Young, trendy staff and clientele. We always feel years younger when we go there. Go early for easy seating. It's very popular!
