“Open Very Late (AND VERY NOISY)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

After getting to my nearby hotel at 11 PM, I needed a late dinner. This was the place. I had one of the great cheeseburgers of my life here. The place is highly recommended. (One footnote: I've lived in both NYC and LA. LA restaurants are designed to be noisy. NYC restaurants, and this one was a paradigm, aren't noisy by design. They're noisy because the locals are TALKING VERY LOUD.)

“New York Landmark”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 2, 2013

Many have dined at Smith & Wollensky's but its mostly the regulars who find their way to Wollensky's Grill. Two things make this place great. The food and Patty Ford, the bartender!

“better than the big one”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2013

I prefer this to all the carry-on that goes with the main restaurant. More relaxed but with the same great food and service and better atmosphere. If you are obsessed by meat go to the main one but if you just want a good New York experience this is the go. On a sunny day the outdoor terrace is good.

“Good option for a nice meat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2013

This is also crowded, it seems very popular with locals. It seems a mix between a bar and a restaurant. There are many options out of the menu, you should ask the waiter. The meat was excellent, service very good and besides wines the list also presents very interesting beers.

“Awesome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013 via mobile

I love the main restaurant as well, but prefer the Grill. Just a great steak house dining experience, a classic NY spot. Saw Andy Rooney here once, before he passed. Some of my favorite dishes are the Roast Beef Hash (with two eggs) and the Cajun rib eye. They are generally busy, but you will eventually get a table. Not cheap, but definitely worth it. There is nothing bad I can say about Smith and Wollenskys, I have always been there with a group. Highly recommend.
