“Not returning”
Reviewed November 30, 2013 via mobile

Not special enough for a return visit. Food was good but there are cheaper alternatives all over New York for Chinese and the menu is limited so don't expect the usual broad fare of a Chinese diner. We did not appreciate the waiters hovering over us making us feel rushed. We wanted to enjoy a nice meal, not hurry up and eat. Not returning.

“Never again”
Reviewed November 21, 2013 via mobile

Waiters very unfriendly, food terrible, the crispy beef was so sticky that we could not eat without loosing the plombs out of our teeth! The duck was overfried and hard and the shrimps no taste. Small portions, the waiter wanted to force us to get a starter. We paid 200 USD for three people (2 glasses of wine). The music was so loud and the people next to us as well that we could not have a conversation. We felt very unwelcome and had the feeling that we should leave asap. Sorry but during our 5 days stay in NYC this was the worse restaurant. Only the girl at the door was nice and sweet.

“Exactly what I expected!”
Reviewed November 14, 2013 via mobile

What a fabulous evening. Coming from Louisville, Kentucky with tons of great restaurants this was a great treat.

It all started with a bottle of wine at the bar, surrounded by tons of white Lilly's!
The perfect way to start.
After sharing a nice bottle of Napa wine we preceded to our table.
The dining room manager helped us select the perfect meal. It was perfection! We decided in the prefixed, 4 apps and 4 entrees for the four of us...every dish prepared perfectly .
He also picked two delicious desserts! After two additional bottles of great wine we decided enough great food and wine and we decided it was one if the best meals ever.

I suggest you come here as it truly takes this cuisine to he top!

Go and enjoy!

“Chinese with a Tux”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

Mr. Chow's is a very upscale, somewhat over priced Chinese restaurant. The wait staff are all tuxedo'd, as is the Maitre d'. Food ranged from quite tasty to mediocre, Prices ranged from very expensive to extortionate. Nonetheless, the place was packed. There's alot better Chinese in NYC, but not with this level of class and style, which comes dearly!
