“One of the Best”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Been going to this restaurant for decades. The owners may have changed but the food is of excellent quality and the 24 hr a day service is nothing but the best. My favorite is their fine steaks with bulls eye eggs on it at the wee hours of the morning. Just a great place and you should give it a try

“Great Breakfast, Good Service but very quiet”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

We came here for brunch on Saturday morning, around 11am. First impressions were good, decor is definitely modern and trendy and welcome was warm and efficient. The next thing we noticed on entering the large dining area was how quiet it was, I think one other couple in a room with 40+ tables.
Menu was varied and the Brunch special was fantastic value at just under $20 for 2 courses and a choice of Bloody Mary, Bellini or Fresh Squeezed Juice. For New York that is a winner every time!!
I ordered the field mushroom crepes for first course and my partner ordered the Beet Salad, both were presented professionally and were very tasty. Portion size was for me not bad but may be small to a big eater, quality was first class, pancakes and mushrooms cooked perfectly.
For my next course I ordered the Eggs Benedict. These came with the US obsession - French Fries. Eggs were cooked to perfection, runny yolks, ham was tasty and muffins cooked well. For me the sauce was a little thin and not enough of it so it felt almost like eggs on ham with chips. BUT and it is a big but....there was nothing majorly wrong, no stale muffin or dried up egg so in my eyes it was a 7/10. My partner had the cavetelli pasta dish which she said was tasty and filling.
Bloody Mary by the way was good, the right amount of spice and not too much vodka.
Overall the experience was positive. The food for the price was very good and high quality although nothing to get overly excited about and the actual environment was attractive. Service was excellent and friendly, not too formal, not too informal. The only thing that kind of let this visit down for me was just how quiet the dining room was both in terms of people and also a lack of some kind of music (background music). You know that feeling when you lay down your knife and it feels like its crashing down because it is so quiet.
Would certainly visit again, but probably just check first to see if there were more people. This is probably the kind of place that is packed in the week, quiet weekends.

“Design, Daring and Dreamy”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

Located in the Seagram building with an entrance just off Park Avenue is Brasserie. Entering this beautifully designed room down a long stairway, you'll be treated to thoughtfully prepared cuisine, great wines at reasonable prices and fantastic service. I visited after theater and there were a few tables open. Don't know why it's not packed at all times. Lamb medallions and hanger steak are standouts.

“A classy spot to ring in the new year”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

My wife and I loved this restaurant for new years eve. It exudes European class and elegance with a modern twist. Upon entering, one feels transporter to a modernist expanse resembling boarding the mother ship in star trek. The steak is generous and the champagne delectable. A great choice!
