We came here for dinner hoping for a table near a window but given we only booked 2 days prior we weren't able to have one. The restaurant was very busy and we did feel rather crammed in, way to close to the tables either side of us. The set menus looked good so we both ate of these and were not disappointed by any of the courses. All were good (not blown away but good) The vegetarian main course was a little small though. After desert we were given some lovely cakes with our coffee on the house as it was a special occasion for us. This was very thoughtful. Our waitress was nice and friendly.
We did think the bill was rather steep and I think we could have found this standard of food with a better view/atmosphere for a bit cheaper. Would recommend but definitely get a window seat.

My girlfriend and I came here on our last night in New York to celebrate an anniversary. We booked through open table and requested a table by the window. We arrived and were seated at a perfect table overlooking Central Park just as the sun started to go down. The food was superb and the service was excellent, we did not feel at all rushed and they were great. We had the three course prix fixe and it was a great meal. Combined with the service and the location with the setting sun made for a perfect meal before flying home the next day. We moved next door for a glass of prosecco to cap off a brilliant night.

My husband and I went to Asiate for our One Year Anniversary dinner and our expectations were exceeded. We were seated in the corner window table with a lovely view of Columbus Circle, Central Park South, and Broadway.

Our server, Martin, was the definition of professional and the rest of the wait staff who assisted were fantastic. I had the Buckwheat Noodles and Salmon and my husband enjoyed his Scallops and Wagyu Beef. We found the portions to be perfect. Courses were served timely, but we did not once feel like we were being rushed and could linger over our meals and wine.

The dessert was phenomenal. Kudos to the pastry chef. We were given an additional cake for our anniversary, which made the evening even more special.

Overall, the meal, service, and ambiance were perfect and we look forward to returning.

We were a party of 5, Sunday night at 6:30 PM. They efficiently took our overcoats and seated us. We decided to have the three course price fixed dinner. We ordered and then waited, and waited, and waited as if the restaurant did not understand how to pace our dinner.

The first course started to be delivered, first 2 people, then one, and then 2. It took them around 18 minutes to finish serving the first course. I called over the head waiter and asked if they could service the second course to all of us within 5 minutes. He agreed even though he did not seem to understand why.

One of our group spilled their food. None of the service people tried to help so I called the head waiter again and he brought a clean napkin to cover the mess.

The food was "good" not exceptional and the service was very bad. One server asked if everything was ok at the beginning of the meal but no one checked during the meal.

Needless to say we will not be dining at this restaurant again.

We wanted to splurge a bit on our trip to New York and after looking at the views from the website, we decided to try the brunch in Asiate. The brunch we had was a 3-course meal which were very good. For 3 pax we were charged about USD150, pretty steep for a brunch but well worth it for the taste and the view. Try to ask for tables near the window coz you'll have the best view of Central Park, 5th Avenue and Columbus Circle. If you can't, there's a corner in the restaurant where you can take pictures at or go to the lounge outside. And don't forget to take your Chinese take out box on your way out that you can fill with candies, chocolates and cookies!!
