Oceana's a la carte menu, coupled with its convenient Midtown/Theater District location, make it a perfect spot for a quick business lunch or pre-theater dinner. From the spectacular marble bar to the fresh lobsters and whole fish cooked to order, as well as a significant selection of prime meats, the team delivers a fresh, innovative and approachable menu. Oceana has a 70 seat Cafe with a 18 seat marble bar. Great for lunch, after work cocktails & snacks, pre-theater dinner and post-theater desserts. An award winning international wine list with some 800 selections. Spring and Summer bring a 75 seat outdoor dining area, private dining options include our Chef's table for 4-5 to our Grand Salon for 80.

“Expensive but worth it”
Reviewed April 28, 2014

It can be pretentious and has a bunch of regulars and is mostly packed but the sea food is delicately done, the portions small to tiny, the menu interesting and the service very professional. And the place can get very expensive very easily.

“Course after course of delicious food”
Reviewed April 28, 2014

We were staying nearby in the Waldorf Astoria and found it easily enough. We started with a cocktail while we waited for the table, the food was outstanding. Each course was pure perfection and paired wonderfully with wine. It was one of the most expensive meals but was certainly worth it. Lovely seafood restaurant which can be hard to find.

“Fish Excellence”
Reviewed April 23, 2014

OK, let's get it out of the way, the best fish restaurant in the city, if not the country, is Le Bernadin. But, after that, Oceana is a competitor. Perfectly repared food, attentive but not patronizing service, great wine list, etc. Beware: It's expensive, and the policy of having to order side dishes separately adds to that. But if you're going here, you can afford it, are on an expense account, or someone else is paying anyway. So have a great time and enjoy.

“Nice evening”
Reviewed April 21, 2014

Great food and atmosphere. Wine menu has to be seen to be believed. Gin is a big item and they had it all to select from. We got tuna and halibut. Both were outstanding. Sides are extra. Had crab cakes for appetizers and those were superb. Kind of noisy in the place so not very romantic. Expensive. Waiter and all attendants made the meal special.
