One of our daughters saw this mentioned on the World One Observatory, some foodie guy talking about his favourite places to eat! Anyway we really had missed our curry hit since being in New York City so ‘Haandi’ sounded like the place to go.
No booking required (or offered ) just go in order your food at the counter and take a seat. Food comes out very quick, all ours was piping hot and plenty of it. Yes the surroundings aren’t top drawer like a nice Time Square restaurant but what they lose in decide is made up with how good the curry is.

We ordered full meal with paneer curry with Biryani and naan. The food was awesome. They deliver through Uber eat at your hotel place. You can add spices on your call.

Tip: Uber eat charges extra amount on weekends.

Haandi, a Pakistani Halal restaurant is a longtime favorite of cab drivers. It has spicier and more authenic food than Curry in a Hurry a half block away. The restaurant is open every day till 10pm.
The lunch buffet all you can eat is amazing value. Open weekdays with the odd exception for bad weather and holidays. You have choices of 4-5 vegetable dishes(spinach, chickpeas, cauliflower, zucchini, cabbage most days), and 2 chicken curry dishes, chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, chicken biryani rice(keep hot), white rice, nan, dal, salad bar and 1-2 deserts. Once or twice a week(Tuesdays) there's a beef curry too. The chef modifies the menu so you can eat there regularly and eat different dishes.

The food was authentic and pretty good but a bit too oily. The place is a real mess and not very clean at least during lunch time.
