“excellent venue for a small party”
Reviewed May 31, 2014

gave a dinner party for 33 people--had a private room, tables were set just as I requested, and the food was excellently prepared--my guests raved about the 14 oz steaks which were done just as each guest ordered---I have given parties here previously, have never been disappointed and won rave revues from all the guests---will certainly keep returning---

“Very average and a disappointment”
Reviewed May 19, 2014 via mobile

We were looking for a kosher restaurant in New York and were recommended the Prime Grill. Their reviews were mixed and Abigael's seemed a better option so we thought we'd try there.

We had ghe Asian chicken and the mushroom polenta as starters. Tge chicken was delicious. The polenta described as soft was actually more sloppy than than soft but both dishes were lukewarm which is a particular dislike if mine.

For the main course we had the roast duck and the chicken dijon. Both were nicely flavoured but again almost cold. I actually left the rice untouched as after suffering food poisoning from warm rice in Asia I'm very careful (I'm sure it was fine and I'm over paranoid but warm rice worries me).

It's a shame as this could have been a great meal but we left disappointed.

Thanks for taking the time to let us know of your recent visit. Please accept our apologies that the food was not delivered hot enough. It is unlike us to get complaints on this matter, but we have addressed it with the kitchen and wait staff to be sure that it remains a rare occurrence. Had you let a staff member know, we would have been happy to replace these items with fresh hot ones. We are delighted to know that you enjoyed the flavor of each of your dishes. Please let us know when next you'll be in NYC. We'd be delighted to have you join us again, where you'll find the food delicious, hot and satisfying!

“Best steak ever”
Reviewed April 28, 2014

During our 2 days stay in Manhattan we were recommended to this restaurant

I wasn't expecting much thinking what could already be at a kosher restaurant

gotta say i was amazed and thrilled

the atmosphere, the dishes, the wine selection, as well the other alcoholic mixes

but the steak ahh I'd die for another one now and rinsing it with a great mochito

i really miss it, hope to be back soon

“Great place!”
Reviewed March 25, 2014

My place to go for a kosher business lunch. The menu provides a large selection of very interesting dishes. I've tried many of the appetizers, entrees and desserts, I've never tried anything that I didn't like. Service is excellent. Atmosphere is very quiet and relaxed.
