Attended dinner at Abigael's last week with several business colleagues who keep Kosher. The restaurant itself is very nice, with a welcoming entrance level and sushi bar, and an expansive lower level downstairs. The lower level is nice and fresh, but perhaps a bit sterile. Nothing to complain about, but it does contrast with the main level.
Service was offered promptly and was friendly. My only complaint is that the attentiveness was uneven. Several times we had to motion to get our server's attention for drinks or when another of our party joined late. Nothing major at all, but service could be refined just a bit in terms of attentiveness during and between courses. All food and beverage was delivered correctly and in a more than reasonable timeframe.
The food itself was good to excellent. I have dined at a number of Kosher restaurants previously and am confident that this is the most diverse and interesting menu I have ever seen in a Kosher establishment. Kudos to the chef and management for being able to present such variety. I ordered the mushroom soup, which was excellent if just a hint underseasoned. My entree was the cedar plank salmon, done exactly as I requested and completely delicious. Desserts included tiramisu, which was quite good, and several others which were satisfying. All parties enjoyed their meals and requests were delivered correctly. The wine list is extensive, as well.
A great evening!
