Description: Toledo Restaurant has been serving patrons of NYC & beyond for over thirty years. Since its inception in 1975, we have been recognized as "serving the city's best Spanish" (The New York Post). Toledo Restaurant began at 55 West 35th Street between 6th & 5th Avenue, where we stood the test of time for sixteen years. After that, Toledo moved to its present more spacious location in Murray Hill, to 6 East 36th Street between 5th & Madison Avenue. The move to our new address was not only to acquire more room for our diners but also a chance to show our true colors. Many have come to call us "classic, old-world & handsome" (Zagat 99, 01, 02), decorated in Spanish artifacts from all parts of Spain like Toledo, Sevilla, Madrid, & even Galicia. Much of our staff has been with us for over Twenty years. When you come to Toledo you can expect reliable and consistent food & service, whether it is to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, family reunion, host a company Christmas party or a baby shower. So come experience what others have already been calling some of the best Spanish in the city

“Great service, good food”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

You should arrive early and have a before dinner drink at the bar. Very welcoming. Service is superb and attentive. The calamari is probably the best I've ever had. The sauce served with it was addictive. It was like a combination of a marina and a romesco. They specialize in paella and they did not disappoint. Highly recommend the seafood one.

“Quiet lunch”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

Having been to Spain, we have a soft spot for the interesting twists in Spanish cuisine and this restaurant did not disappoint. The baked snapper was simply delicious, the Spanish wine perfect, and the service attentive and friendly.

“Excellent Spanish Restaurant”
Reviewed May 6, 2012

We always look forward to having paella at this very traditional restaurant. The service is outstanding, and the atmosphere lovely. The starters and deserts, when we have had the latter, are memorable. A highly recommended restaurant.

“Not Worth It”
Reviewed July 28, 2011

Very expensive and the food was just O.K. Service wasn't that great either, no water offered and the waiter forgot to bring me another refill with dinner, even after I asked. It was ice tea but my husband's white wine was brought over without him even asking for it. I have a feeling the difference in the price between the two may have been the reason. My husband like his paella but my dinner and dessert was very average and not worth the price which was very expensive, I could have gone to Daniel.

“So-so decor, expensive food, horrible service.”
Reviewed October 21, 2009

Really nothing positive to say about this restaurant except that the decor is not bad. The food is so-so at best and quite expensive. But the wait staff and owner are extremely unpleasant and provided nasty service. We won't be returning to this restanrant. Not a good choice, unfortunately.
