Don't miss the Sesame Leaf tofu patties from the appetizer menu - they were a highlight of our recent dinner there. Pretty much anything they do with tofu is good. Recommended for a quiet, classy veg meal. Worth the price. We enjoyed an early New Year's Eve dinner there and it was wonderful.

I discovered this amazing place back in 2003 and have now been to it every time I'm in New York. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing; you really leave the stress and sounds of the city when you enter through the large wooden portal. Removing your shoes, you are shown to your table where you dangle your legs underneath. For winter, they have in-floor heating. The food is delicious vegetarian Korean. From yummy soups, to veg appetizers and beautifully prepared main dishes with unique sauces.

We were taken to this restaurant by Korean friends. They ordered everything for us, which was a good thing, as we would have been lost without them. We had what seemed like dozens of dishes, and it was all quite wonderful. The decor, we were told, has many traditional Koran elements, but they are combined in a way that is not exactly what you would find in a Korean temple (we were told that the restaurant serves "temple food"), but we thought it was very nice and restful. The restaurant was quite full when we were there, but it was quite quiet. There was a couple sitting at a table right next to us, but the acoustics of the restaurant were such that we couldn't even hear their conversation. Extremely pleasant after so many loud restaurants. You take off your shoes when you enter the restaurant, and sit on cushions at very low tables with a "pit" where your feet go. Surprisingly comfortable. All in all, a great new experience. Quite different from the noisy bustling Korean restaurants I have been to in the past.
