Description: Keens Steakhouse, a classic New York chophouse, was already famous for its steaks and chops at the turn of the century. Founded in 1885, Keens has 90,000 clay pipes that line the ceilings – pipes once smoked by customers after dinner. Today Keens legendary mutton chops and dry aged prime steaks are still without equal in the city.

“As good as Nelson's Eye Capetown”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 18, 2012 via mobile

The place for Steak along with fine cuisine, atmosphere and once again wine list to spoil yourself with. The price tag is for the experience ontop of the food, each section of the restaurant has different decor and themes. I had crabcakes to start, perfectly swallow fried with a fine seasoned dressing, for main course we had chateu-de-bronx (spell check does not recognise) and we had a Porterhouse to dig into as well. Both cooked to medium rare to contend with Nelson's eye of Capetown, the sides and sauces all complimented each other perfectly which enhanced the experience. Then try and save room for the Sundaes and fine selection of port, please do as that ends a brilliant night.

“Garden client dinner stop only”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 18, 2012

This is a perfect example of why I don't always trust Trip Advisor. This restaurant doesn't even crack the top 10 in NYC steak places let alone dining experiences. This is a convenient place to take second tier clients to MSG at best. Food is over priced due to it's location. Yes, the dining room is kind of old NY cool but it's not Palm cool. Mediocre at best.

“Nice steak but well over priced.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 17, 2012

Went on the basis of the good reviews on trip advisor. Paid $50 for the new York sirloin (16oz) and was quite surprised to hear that it came served with nothing. Sides were extra. An extra $12 for a bowl of French fries!! The steak was nice but that's it. Not great. Service was ok. Had better food for much less elsewhere.

“Great Steak but a little expensive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 17, 2012

Had a great meal here during recent trip to NYC. The meal was very good, the restaurant is a great place and very popular, take a look up at the hundreds of clay pipes on the ceiling. The only negative is it was a little expensive, but dont let that stop you booking you'll have a great meal.

“Great place for the best meat in town, anytime again”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 16, 2012

Even overbooked, we decided for a table at 2:30pm. Great choice. Very friendly service, great atmosphere, we had the chateubriand, unforgettable. Try also the half lobster salad. You will never forget.
