This restaurant was very close to our hotel, Hampton Inn Times Square North so it was very convenient for us to go to our first night in NY. We had just gotten in so still in our travel clothes and not looking the fanciest but the staff didn't treat us any different then everyone dressed up. The food was good. Drink prices were high, but they are high everywhere in NY. Food prices were normal. As far as the service goes the waters talked a mile a minute and I had to have the specials repeated 3 times to me and then I asked another server to repeat them again. Besides that it was fine and I would probably go back but I would dress up next time!

When we arrived at the theatre to see Wicked, it was 4 pm and the show was at 8 pm. We asked the staff if we could have drinks and appetizers over three hours and they were most gracious and accommodating. This was a meal in true Italian tradition - we were never rushed. We ended up having some truly wonderful food and drinks including a "Wickedtini" and a "Glendalicious" which made the evening. Don't even think of going anywhere else in this area!

Party of four, all meals were outstanding. The rissotto dish, in particular, was exquisite. The salmon dinner was outstanding, cooked to perfection, and in a lovely cream sauce. A ravioli dish was clearly home made, and wonderful, also in a cream sauce. The meal presentations were very nicely done, with a touch of different sauces drizzled on the perimeter of the plates. The atmosphere was perfect, with music in the background, that was not too loud. Although the restaurant is situated on the edge of an underground parking garage entrance/exit on one side, we didn't notice this at all until we left the restaurant. There are few tables that are within viewing range of the garage. Prix fixe meal at $35. seems a bit high, but not for NYC, on Rockefeller Center perimeter no less, including choice of three appetizers, four main courses, and desert. Service seemed a bit rushed in the beginning, but it gradually hit the right pace, and was excellent throughout the remainder of the meal. Highly recommended. CH

After all the horror of US-coffee finaly something decent: Caffé Miscela d'oro. Shame that Tripadvisor reviews need to be 100 Characters so I need to fill in the blanks.
