We've been there for an extended family celebration on Thursday night. The bright side is that the food is really good - the kebabs are soft and juicy, the salads are fresh and variety off flavored rices is great, and the portions are huge. The sevice is generally OK. However, the prices are relatively high, the ambiance is only so-so... and it has been extremely noisy! I would say the noise level was more resembling a crowded pub on Sat night than family-oriented kosher restaurant. Bottom line is, we enjoyed the food (and wine), but could not really talk to each other, or raise toasts as we planned to. Maybe it's better during day hours, but I'd not recommend the place to anyone who is planning to maintain any verbal communication during the meal.

We ate here last Saturday night. The location is very central and the restaurant is lively. The waiting staff were pretty good. The music was a bit loud for me but probably fine for younger people. The atmosphere was also pretty good.
We had nice wine and the food was ok. Nothing terrible and nothing special. There is certainly lots of it.
I think it was fairly expensive especially if you have more than one course.
All in all it was ok, we would probably go back again but on the other hand there are so many kosher restaurants in NY that we might not bother.

We went to this restaurant for lunch and still regret having to pay for it almost a month later.

My partner and I ordered starters and main course. Before we had even finished our starter the waiter brought over the main course. When we informed him we hadn't finished our starter and weren't ready he looked at us and simply said - "I can put it back in the kitchen but it will get dry you might as well have it now" he then took away our starters without a care in the world (my soup still had half a bowl full)

When we went to pay we refused to leave a tip. Instead of the manager coming to ask why he simply gave us attitude and was very rude. When we confronted his rudeness he informed us the waiter had given him a very different version of what happened. When we set him straight, instead of apologizing or offering a good will gesture (dessert/drink/anything) he simply said if we came back to make sure the waiter wouldn't serve us.

We travelled from London and can honestly say that if we go back to New York we would never visit there again

Waste of money and time

Had dinner here with 9 colleagues. Agreed to a fixed price menu with salads, appetizers, and mixed kabobs "for the table" as we were on tight timing and this approach was recommended by our waiter as the most efficient. The restaurant promptly took advantage of this and delivered *MUCH* more food than we could possibly eat in order to boost their sales. They also poured bottled water after we declined it earlier. They then mismanaged the time so we never got dessert or coffee, but were charged for it. Add a 20% (!) required gratuity (including on the wine), and you get a combination that says to diners "we don't care if you ever come back."

I do not recomment this resturant to any one. I took my girlfriend out for a saturday dinner there. We arrived and was seated by a really cranky waitress, that almost threw the menues on us. But we ordered the food anyhow. When the food arrived,we found that the food was cold and didnt seem to be freshly cooked, we commented this to the staff, and they where very agitated by this. But took the food reluctantly back to re-heat it up. A few minutes later they brought the food back and we started eating. In the middle of the dinner, we found a long hair in the Ghormesabzi and this was a very discusting experiance as we where halfway through the dinner.

After this neighter one of us could eat anything more, so we asked for the bill, leaving most of the dinner left on out plates.
The bill came, and we payed, even leaving a small tip (even though the resturant, service and food most deffidently didnt deserve any) anyhow, after this when we where leaving the manager stopped us, giving us a new bill saying that there had been a mistake made on the previous bill.
The new bill had a 20 % service charge on it!!!!

At this point we where very anoyed and irrirated, but payed the new bill and left without saying anything!
But i will never go back to this resturant and i most certainly do not recommend this place to anyone!
I have been to many persian resturants all over the world and this was by far the worst place!

If you want to waist your time, money and good mood then feel free.
