Unless you are near by, its probably not the most convenient pub, but we were at the Andaz hotel across the street and stopped in twice for appetizers and drinks.

O'Casey's was a true find. After walking to three other bars that were closing at 11pm (COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT!) we were told by our hotel concierge at the Marriott Manhattan to try around the corner and go to O'Casey's. We had a great time and our bartender, Freddie, MADE the place. He was funny and efficient. We watched him as he kept the whole place refreshed and laughing. GREAT TIME!

O'Casey's is the weekend home of New York's massive group of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. Recently, the club was in town for a match against Red Bull New York. The New York group hosted Tottenham supporters from all over for the match and events in the days before. On the first night in town, rowdy soccer fans packed the entire upstairs area of the pub to eat, drink, and be merry. The food and drinks were priced relatively fairly for Manhattan, which was a huge plus. Also, the bartenders and staff were very accommodating and professional. If you visit during the English Premier League season (mid-August to May), you'll be sure to see a bar full of soccer fans watching the match on the televisions above the bar and vocally supporting their beloved club, which creates a lively atmosphere.

Even if you're not a soccer fan, if you come to O'Casey's, you're sure to find fairly priced food and drink, which is something that anyone can enjoy.

We loved the feel of this bar and decided to go back in the evening for a meal on the Sunday night. We were told that it should be quiet and we wouldnt have to book. Upon arriving we were shown to our table and the service was warm & friendly. Unfortunately we then waited nearly an hour for our main course..... It transpired that there was group booking of 150 people in the function room upstairs, however no one had told us that a large party had just placed their order or offered an explanation for the wait. When our steaks came, they were horribly overcooked, ( both were very well done and very dry despute the fact we had asked for 'medium' which was a real shame as the meat looked to be a nice cut and was beautifully seasoned. The baked potatoes that we were told it would come with were in fact roast and looked as though they may have been previously frozen - either way they were hard in the middle and also inedible. the only bit of the meal we could eat was the vegetables. After we had been served, two gentlemen sat at a table nearby and both ordered steaks too. Theirs came quickly and looked to be beautifully cooked - which made our experience all the more disappointing. Although we complained about the food, our complaints were dismissed and we got the impression the staff didnt really know how to handle such as issue. We were charged full price for our meal despite our protests. In essence, dont eat here if there is another event taking place in the function room!
