My husband and I had dinner on a Friday night several weeks ago. The razor clam and crudo appetizers were OK, if not amazing, but then everything deteriorated after that.
My husband had the pasta vongole. The waiter did admit some found the dish salty but that it was made with wild clams and was really good. Needless to say, the dish was beyond salty, verging on inedible. Our guess is the clams were farm-raised and were tasteless. The pasta was undercooked.
My fish soup was the worst I have ever had. The broth had no fish stock flavor and was really more like a sauce and, therefore, much too strong. The mussels were not impeccable and the fish was overcooked. I took 3 sips and stopped. The waiter never asked why I left most of my dinner.
We walked out very unhappy and would never want to go back.
