My husband and I had dinner on a Friday night several weeks ago. The razor clam and crudo appetizers were OK, if not amazing, but then everything deteriorated after that.

My husband had the pasta vongole. The waiter did admit some found the dish salty but that it was made with wild clams and was really good. Needless to say, the dish was beyond salty, verging on inedible. Our guess is the clams were farm-raised and were tasteless. The pasta was undercooked.

My fish soup was the worst I have ever had. The broth had no fish stock flavor and was really more like a sauce and, therefore, much too strong. The mussels were not impeccable and the fish was overcooked. I took 3 sips and stopped. The waiter never asked why I left most of my dinner.

We walked out very unhappy and would never want to go back.

After debating this choice due to consistently mediocre reviews, we still decided to give it a shot. We were seated promptly and courteously for an 8:15 pm reservation. It was a Saturday night and very, very loud and crowded which made us uneasy that the service would be reflective but it was not. Our primary server was swamped but there was a manager combing each dining area constantly, filling in even for water and bread servers, etc. They were out of a few dishes, but we found several menu items that turned out great -- a spicy pasta with shrimp as well as the whole red snapper. We ordered several vegetable dishes and they were okay, nothing special. Stick with the seafood and pasta. We probably won't return as we went for the experience it and now that we have, will continue to try new restaurants.

4 of us had dinner here recently and all of us enjoyed our dishes. Service was very good and the pace of the meal well timed. I had the scallops which were excellent - sweet with a good crisp crust but still moist. Friends shared the fish baked in salt which was quite good although for one person was a little salty. We shared a combination platter of veggies which were super - particularly the radishes roasted and dressed. Only weak item was the over cooked kale. We enjoyed the Montepulciano wine and our desserts were delicious.
