Description: It was in 1980, when Chef-Owner Mr. Costas Spiliadis opened the first Estiatorio Milos on Park Avenue, Montreal. The reason seemed obvious to him: the need to elevate the sophistication of Greek cuisine abroad far away from its stereotyped forklorization. 'I wanted to change what people thought about Greek cuisine, make sure it's being appreciated and awarded with its rightful place on an international level!' As a small restaurant, Milos gained the trust of the Montrealers in no time. The menu being always simple and impeccably fresh, drew the attention of the media and food critics from around the world. NY Post has triumphly started that 'Milos fish could only be fresher if it swam to your plate!' What was the secret that made Milos stand out? Its focus in finding the purest Mediterranean products and cooking with the freshest ingredients.Through 35 years of intensive research, we have managed to build lasting relationships with growers and small-scale fisheries at the shores of Greece, Morocco, Tunisia and Portugal, flying in our fish and seafood daily by plane! Milos has since then taken the world by strom and opened in 1997 in NYC, in 2004 in Athens,in 2010 at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas and in 2012 in Miami Beach and in 2015 in London! We invite you to live the Milos experience and celebrate with us our 35th year anniversary!

“A feast for the eyes - buzzy, elegant, expensive”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 9, 2013

I was invited to dinner at this restaurant by two work colleagues, one of whom is fancies himself a foodie, so I always enjoy going when he suggests. The place is visually beautiful and despite all the light and hard surfaces we found we were able to have a conversation (a rare amenity). The wait staff was knowledgeable and took us on a tour of the day's fresh fish - not to be missed. It was good that they explained how much to order or we could have ended up with far too much. The plating and dismembering of the fish was done with incredible expertise. The service was attentive. Even though we ordered a dish that they said would take an hour, we never felt the least bit rushed. It's expensive, but a great place for after-work and to converse.

“wonderful fresh seafood meal with excellent service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

This restaurant was across the road from our hotel and we were keen to try.. it is very busy so book online. 8 of us went. It is expensive, but service was generally excellent, food was really good, and we loved the buzz. Note that the portions can be huge and the wait staff need to explain a little better how to order the correct amount.
We really enjoyed our meal (fresh tuna, lobster salad, etc). The puddings were perhaps less tasty.

“Fabulous!!”

Wonderful meal for six of us on a recent Saturday night. Service was outstanding. Not cheap and a little on the noisy side, but worth it for a special celebration.

“Everything is $$$Pricy-Terrific!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 1, 2013

The crowded“After-work-Bar” and spacious [open-concept] Dining Room with large, street view windows and (tubular) double-ceiling characterize the ambiance here. In this popular [hard-to-reserve] 'success', the Cocktails are (mixed and chilled) perfectly. The Appetizers I definitely recommend are the [incredible] Feta-stuffed Grilled Calamari and also the Scallops: they are Paramount! The fish is superb, but careful with the Sea Bass: some -forewarned- bones (that seem to be characteristic of this manner of presentation) may appear. We were so well attended and guided though all our selections that it felt as if the Chef was at our service! Yet this (creative and exquisite) restaurant does come with a HIGH [NY-excuse] price tag, but you can opt for the Pre-Post Theatre Menu because le$$er is well worth trying their cuisine!
