Description: Angus' Cafe Bistro is a one hundred-sixty seat, full-service eatery located in the heart of New York City's bustling Times Square. Given its proximity to several Broadway theaters, the pre-show dinner seating is the restaurant's busiest, but before or after is the time to take advantage of the restaurant's charm for either a relaxing lunch or dinner without the pressure of an impending curtain. Additionally, the restaurant offers several attractive features including a bargain prix fixe lunch menu, an irresistible late night snack menu and the house specialty: a porterhouse steak for two which includes unlimited wine by the glass if you order it after 8pm. Brunch is served all weekend long and private parties/special events of all shapes and sizes are willingly and expertly accommodated.

“Great pre and post theatre dinning”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2013

Have loved every visit to this restaurant over many years, service and staff are very consistent.
As avid theatre goers we have done both pre and post dinning the menu has good selection of dishes our favourites are the sea food platters small medium and large which can serve 2 people as starter and entree.
Steaks and Grills are 1st rate as are the deserts.
Restaurant has great atmosphere and good star spotting and Angus treats all his customers as stars.
New York to me is a very expensive city however we find Angus' good value for money highly reccommended

“Kitchen's Revenge”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

Ordered the house special Porterhouse for Two medium rare. It is served cut from the bone and sliced in strips . Our order was obviously cooked medium well to well when it was served so we sent it back. It took quite a while for the second steak to come out. In the meantime the sides sat at the table getting cold. The second steak was cooked rare to the point of almost being raw and it was laced with tendon. The kitchen obviously knows how to select and cook a quality steak. Their message to us was clear - eat what we serve you even if its not right. When we left the restaurant we took the time to let management know what happened. From their reaction it was clear they make their money from tourists and not from repeat customers. We will never be back.

“Great place to eat before a show”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2013

After a few recommendations and reviewing the menu we decided to try out Angus. We were seated on a window table looking out at the Majestic Theatre. Ordered a couple drinks and noticed the ginger ale had gone flat.. They replaced the drinks with no problems. Food was very good. Staff was friendly and was helpful with menu selections. She did a great job! Overall the experience was fun and I would recommend this restaurant to others. The Braised Short Ribs were great!
