Description: Angus' Cafe Bistro is a one hundred-sixty seat, full-service eatery located in the heart of New York City's bustling Times Square. Given its proximity to several Broadway theaters, the pre-show dinner seating is the restaurant's busiest, but before or after is the time to take advantage of the restaurant's charm for either a relaxing lunch or dinner without the pressure of an impending curtain. Additionally, the restaurant offers several attractive features including a bargain prix fixe lunch menu, an irresistible late night snack menu and the house specialty: a porterhouse steak for two which includes unlimited wine by the glass if you order it after 8pm. Brunch is served all weekend long and private parties/special events of all shapes and sizes are willingly and expertly accommodated.

If Denny's were chic, it would be a lot like Angus. Theater hangout smack dab in the Theater District pocket. Tourists more than welcome. The food is unapologetically average and the cocktails are straightforward and sufficient. No surprises here -- just a menu that seems like (but isn't) a franchise and delivers everything with New York speed and winking attitude. If you want to escape a little of the pre-theater madness, ask to be seated upstairs where it's marginally less hectic.

This place is right across the street from the Majestic Theatre - my wife and I went for dinner before Phantom. We had the steak for 2 for $99 - it was EXCELLENT!!!!! As a matter of fact, EVERYTHING we ate was GREAT!!!!! From appetizer to desert - I will definitely be back!!!

“Location, location, location”

This is one of my favorite NYC restaurants because it is right across from the Majestic Theatre. I like to go right when the crowds start to line up for Phantom of the Opera while sitting in the "window" seat at the front. During nice weather, these glass doors are opened, so you have a sidewalk cafe feel without being run over. It is a perfect people watching venue at that time of day.

The food is very good and I have always found the service to be excellent even when arriving when the rest of the crowd is rushing out to get to their respective Broadway show.

The meals are overpriced but I expect that at most places in NYC.

Good choice for late dinner after the theater. You won't find complex dishes but classics are well prepared
