We recently had a late dinner at the newly re-opened DB Bistro Moderne and were most impressed both by the food quality and service.. I would avoid being seated too close to the bar area which seems to get rowdier as the evening progresses. The menu is divided into Classique and Marché sections; the latter having the more interesting and innovative dishes. Most impressive was the glazed duck breast with faro and hakurei turnips and an appetizer of salt baked celery root with wild mushrooms and apple confit. Deserts of fig and raspberry tart and plum clafoutis were also superb. There is a very strong French regional wine list with wines by the glass, ¼ liter and bottle. Prices seemed about 3-4 times retail for a couple I knew. A very nice Arbois red blended well with the food. The service was friendly and faultless. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could.
