I'd eaten here around 15 years ago and on many returns to NYC not gone again because I snootily thought that the location off Times Sq must make it a tourist trap. Ok, I'm a tourist in NYC so maybe it is - but I'm happy I went again and re-discovered Virgil's! We booked online (thank goodness - it was heaving) and were seated after a short wait at the bar. Upstairs was very hot (seriously, turn the air con on!) but the food was great. The ribs are tender and the steaks good. Portion sizes are huge as you'd imagine! If you're looking for a good BBQ restaurant in Times Sq area this is the one.
