We went here after an Off-Broadway show and it was AMAZING! We had French Onion Soup and Cheese Fondue for appetizers. The French Onion Soup, was okay. It tasted like a Lipton Tea Mix was made with it. I wouldn't recommend it. The Swiss Cheese was the best part of the soup! For our meal, we had the Seafood and Meat Fondue. The Seafood was something different and gave plenty of shrimp, salmon, scallops and tilapia, but we wouldn't do that again. The Beef was incredible. Fondue is such a fun dining. For dessert we had the Chocolate Fondue which was delicious! We had the Pear and Watermelon Martinis. Delicious! Beware if you eat the fruit you will get F***ed up! Definite great buzz from the drink! They infuse their own vodka! Highly recommend it!
We were a party of three and each of the Fondue's stated for 2 people is enough for 3 people and probably 4. Absolutely love this restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpful! Food is superb! I will be returning with a few other friends in two weeks!

World Famous Mont Blanc Restaurant is a Sleeper! Located centrally in heart of Theatre District, it is a Swiss restaurant/owner, a lovely Woman named Maria. She has had this successful Restaurant for over 30 years, and the value is superb! Not only do u get so much food, it is excellent! The drinks @ the Bar when u enter are so reasonable also! Great Fruit saturated in the drink, and fermented, so good! A preFixe dinner is reasonable and plentiful, just make sure you leave room for the dessert! A big treat in the heart of the busy New york Scene!

We stumbled on Mont Blanc a year ago and had a great meal there. We decided to have another meal there on this trip and it was just as good. We ordered two drinks, the baked clams as a starter, bratwurst and veal scallopine as our entrees, shared a dessert, and had coffee and tea. The food portions were generous and delicious and the tab was about $100 (with tax & tip) for the two of us, which was very reasonable for all that we ordered. The entrees include a house salad, rosti potatoes, and dinner vegetable consisting of sauteed long beans. We were stuffed by the end of the meal and very satisfied. The service is very good, with the owner checking on each table to see how the meals were progressing. It has the atmosphere of a comfortable and inviting neighborhood restaurant, with many regulars sitting at the bar enjoying their beverages.

Will definitely stop by again on our visit to NYC next year.

On the way to see The Book of Mormon, we stumbled on Mont Blanc and decided to try it. We're glad we did. They call themselves European, but it tends towards Swiss, with items like raclette and fondues, plus pastas, sandwiches and a number of interesting entrees.
I had veal dumplings (aka meatballs) in a tasty mushroom gravy. They came with a small salad, cooked carrots and rosti potatoes (similar to hash browns). All yummy, and for under $20, unheard of in Midtown Manhattan for a quality meal. My husband got the businessman's lunch (on a Saturday) which added soup, dessert and coffee to the basic meal...again, all for under $20...incredible. The soup was a vegie lentil and he said it was delicious.

We sat in the bar area in front, which is dark and cozy. There is another lighter room in the back. The restaurant had an old fashioned feel (in a good way), unpretentious and solid.

We plan to eat here again when we're in the neighborhood.
