“Simply The Best”
Reviewed February 20, 2014

I live 3 blocks from Le Bernardin and I should be eating there every night. It's next to impossible, however, because it is almost impossible to simply book a table. You have to call on the first of each month, two months before you want to book. Spontaneous, this is not. However a few weeks ago, as another blizzard hit New York, I thought they might have a few cancellations. I called. They had one. We took it. Looking forward to more bad weather.

“Amazing food”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

Nice tasting menu, decent wine pairing, though I should have guessed that considering it is seafood, it will be predominantly white wines in their pairing. Not a white wine fan, but the pairings worked very well, and overall experience was great.

Ambiance is terrific. Overall, it is a nice special occassion restaurant. I will be there again.

“Excellent food, criminal wine prices”
Reviewed February 18, 2014

Food is worth the 3 stars and 155 USD for Chef's Menu is really a fair price. Wine prices are crazy. I saw at least half a dozen Bordeaux offered at 6-8 times wholesale. Really borderline! So be careful finding a "normal" wine (3-4 time wholesale) and enjoy the really fantastic food!

“If fish, you get it”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

It was a great impression to visit this place for all of us. We spend there just about one and a half hour, but this gastronomical experience was very special. The fish was great, so special with the unique combinations the flavors of the side dishes.
Great tastes, good wines, and attentive staff. Must visit.

“So refreshing!”
Reviewed February 16, 2014

We've had tasting/degustation menus where you feel you might have overdone it. Not at Le Bernardin - the tasting menu here was deliciously exquisite, satisfying and hit every spot. Service was impeccable. We did have a small incident with the lunch entree but the overseeing chef was absolutely amazing with his dessert creations!!
