Went here after seeing Newsical and we had an early Sunday dinner. Vice Versa has a nice ambiance and a beautiful garden room. Our server was efficient, not overly friendly, but cordial. We like the idea of the stuzzichini and tried a few:
Rice “arancini”, black truffle, fontina
Parmigiano Reggiano 24 m/o, saba
Marinated anchovies, grilled polenta
Crispy olives, 3 meats, lemon zest
Baccalà croquettes
All were delicious. I also had an appetizer portion of the homemade spaghetti with lump crab, tomato & capers- sooo good.

For entrees
Seared scallops over lentil puree- perfectly seared and excellent
Spaghetti with lobster- my friend loved it
Branzino-nicely done.
For dessert we had the ricotta cheesecake which was light and moist. They also gave us some home made petite fours that were "we need a dozen to go".
Our chianti was very good and reasonable for Manhattan prices. I like the fact that this is a solid Italian restaurant in the theater district and doesn't have that touristy feel. Would come back.

My wife and I went ViceVersa on 8/10 and found the evening enjoyable. The service was excellent, not hovering, but available a moment before needed. When we came in we were escorted to our table. When we arrived at our table the women who seated us noticed they were set for a part of 12 next to us and asked if we would feel more comfortable in a quieter location. Well Done.

Our waiter was on top of everything, and was knowledgeable. Our food was good but not great. There was nothing wrong with our food, and everything tasted fine. Nothing we ate was overly memorable, but all the flavors balanced well and we enjoyed the food. The best dish of the night was my wife's baby chicken. The skin was crisp, the meat was good, and no oily or buttery feel/taste to the dish. It was nicely cooked.

Four friends dined here after the theatre and we were not disappointed. We were promptly seated by a gracious hostess. Our server arrived shortly to take our drink order. He was professional and efficient, but there was not a lot of interaction during the course of the evening. If you like to be served without a lot of fuss and fanfare, this is your place. The food was delightful, adventuresome but not showy. The milk fed veal medallions were tender, moist, and flavorful accompanied with just a hint of fondue sauce. The Restaurant Week salmon entree was a hit with two of us. The fish was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. Our deserts were superb....not a crumb left on our plates! The atmosphere here is warm and comfortable. As we were leaving the manager (owner?) made a point to smile and wish us a good evening. We shall return.

Dan and I had been scouting our neighborhood in Hell's Kitchen to have our wedding for a couple of weeks. We were fortunate to come across ViceVersa. From our first meeting with the owners to the actual event we can't say enough about how professionally our wedding was managed. In our early conversations we could see that there was a commitment from them to make this a wonderful occassion for us and our 50 guests. They provided terrific menu ideas and were very receptive and accomodating to items we wanted to have added. Pressure off! We knew we were in excellent hands.

The day of the wedding we arrived and all was set up perfectly as we had discussed. The staff throughout the night were perfect - often remembering special requests from our guests. The bartenders were top notch and as with most celebrations, provided the perfect ingredient that helps 'strangers' become friends - even though most people knew of each other already.

Dan and I had had dinner a couple of times at ViceVersa before our wedding and knew that the quality of the food, the presentation and creativity with which the food was prepared, would add up to a successful night. There was something for everyone and more. Everything from their signature pasta dish was there to their lovely little cookies to complement the beautiful wedding cake and gorgeous pastries, were all delicious.

For those of you might consider a wedding ceremony at ViceVersa, just wanted to add that we had ours here and it worked out perfectly. Everyone could see and hear our vows and be a part of our special day. We felt very connected to those smiling faces and sniffles and support from our families and friends.

For days after our wedding, our guests commented on what a great time they had, how much they had enjoyed the restaurant and how professional and friendly everyone at ViceVersa was.
To that we say AMEN and a heartfelt thank you to the owners - Franco and Stefano - and their staff for helping to make this such a memorable day in our lives.
