Good location just off Times Square. Great food, service and ambiance. Extraordinary beer selection on tap as well as in bottles. Fairly priced.

If you want a beer or wine and a decent, if not outstanding, feed, then St Andrews will fit the bill. After a long day walking the pavements, carrying heavy bags and in need of an early night so we can do it all over again tomorrow, it's comforting to know you can rely on the team here to get you fed and watered regardless of how busy they are. Three nights in NYC and two of those we came to St Andrews, both times food, service, atmosphere consistently good, like I said, it's reliable and held no surprises, just what we needed. See you next year.

NY is full of trendy, noisy, restaurants which are fun but sometimes a person wants comfortable and that's St. Andrews. Comfortable atmosphere, comfort food (Ribs are great), great service. A great place for a pre show dinner.

Two of us had dinner on a Saturday night, a 6pm reservation prior to an 8pm theater curtain. The restaurant was bustling with pre-theater parties, and the service moved at a very quick pace to accommodate the diners' schedules. The food, unfortunately, was what you might expect when quick service and table turnover is a prime consideration. The Fish & Chips was barely passable: poor quality fish that wasn't saved by being well and crisply fried, with soggy, limp fries. The "Fresh Brook Trout" didn't taste particularly fresh although, to be fair, the maple-syrup & scotch whisky sauce was lovely. The house-made haggis appetizer was scrumptious, although I can't speak to its authenticity (a first time taste). The menu offers a list as long as your arm, of single-malt and blended scotches, and a large variety of beers and ales. Our server, however, was unable to answer our questions about the difference between two ales from the same brewer. She asked for the bartender's help and, once we'd been informed of the difference and made our choice, she brought the variety we had decided NOT to order. The ale we wanted was, when it arrived, was lovely. If you're coming here to immerse yourself in the Scottish experience, we'd suggest you go bold and order the haggis, maybe at the bar so the kilt-clad bartenders can make sure you find your way through the drinks menu.

Wandered in here for a beer before a Broadway show and were quite satisfied. A good selection of draft beer, the bar is dark with lots of wood paneling, interesting golf memorabilia on the walls. Had an appetizer of chicken satay, very generous serving. Would definitely come back.
