Description: Welcome to Da Rosina! Da Rosina, well established since 1993, is the premier Italian restaurant ideally located in the heart of the Theatre District. On Restaurant Row, Da Rosina is minutes from Times Square, the Lincoln Tunnel, and all major hotels. The room is invitingly decorated with a lovely mural and Roman columns. Tables are comfortably spaced allowing the waiters to serve you exquisite Italian fare at very moderate prices. Da Rosina is a theatre lover's dream. Because of the proximity to all the major theaters and our ability to prepare delicious Italian cuisine promptly before curtain time, Da Rosina is perfect for dining before attending the theater. Of course, if you prefer a more leisurely meal, please make your reservation during showtime or join us after the theater!

We were a gang of 8th people that dropped in for a dinner one evening. We had no reservations, so we were happy that they had a big, round table for us, located in the middle. It was nice to be seated on a round table, as it made it easier to talk to "the whole" table.

They recommended the seafood ravioli, and most of us chose this dish. And we did not regret it! I tasted great! The service was good, and the waiters were friendly and smiling. I would like to come back here on my next trip to NYC!

We dined there on June 27, 2012. at noon prior to a Boardway matinee. The unusual feature of their prix-fixe menu is he ability to order your appetizer, entree and dessert with coffee or tea from the entire menu. The restaurant was very crowded and noisy the wait staff was excellent. The food was not as good as some of the other Italian restaurants I have been to on 8th and 9th avenues but was plentiful and hot when served. Being on Restaurant Row (46th Street), the restaurant is very close to most theaters.

My daughter and I had dinner here pre-theater. Attentive service. Delicious food. They have a price fixe appetizer/dinner/dessert for $30/person. We just ordered appetizer/dinner though and were full and it cost less. Good pace to service, plenty of time to relax and get to the theater at just the right time.

It was one of those pre-theater decisions where four people had to decide on a restaurant. This is never easy because tastes differ and often people want to try something they've not done before. We looked a Le Jardin des Artistes, Broadway Joe's, Maison Sevilla, the Athens Bistro, the Playwright Tavern, and Angus McIndoe's. Maria's Mont Blanc was a couple blocks further and we were pressed for time. Nobody could make a decision; then by some miracle everybody agreed on Da Rosina, in part because of the appealing $22 prix fixe menu.

The restaurant like many on the first floors of brownstones is long and narrow. The ceilings are relatively low, but the brightly painted walls and floral paintings bring a lot of light into the room and the atmosphere is quite pleasant. Service is prompt and attentive with wait staff, front staff, and bus boys pitching in to get folks in and out in time for theater. This restaurant is bustling.

The menu is attractive. Choose an appetizer or salad, a main course, and a dessert. Coffee and tea are included. Each of us had a different appetizer and all were pleased. I had the Calamari Fritti; two had the Zucchine Fritti; and one had a salad. Main courses of Veal Scallopine or grilled Salmon with mustard glaze arrived promptly. Other choices were pastas, lasagna, a few chicken choices...nice menu.

Dessert choices were limited, and we all chose the chocolate mousse...sensational. All in all, our dining experience at Da Rosina's was very good, one that will surely be repeated.
