Dinner time at Ipanema is like a feast; we had the camarao a coco and the feijoada completa (Brazil's National dish) based on online reviews and they were fantastic!
Word of advice though, the amount of food is more suitable for 3 or 4 people as we were both stuffed when only half our dishes were eaten.
The coconut dish was light and delicious, with bright and intense herbal flavours. The black beans, as expected for a National dish, were bold, and heavy. Large chunks of meat and sausage were cooked to perfection, with crispy pieces of pork rind added a welcome crunch. Deep flavours in this one and very filling.
Service was good, not great as we had to repeatedly ask for new drinks and water refills. But overall it was a very enjoyable dinner. :)
