“Step Back In Time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2013

When you enter the Nom Wah Tea Parlor, enjoy the time warp you find yourself in while you savor the sublimely tasty fare. Located on a tiny little twisty block just off the Bowery, which adds to the charm. Highly recommend the Shrimp Sui Mai (FANTASTIC), Scallion Pancake, and the House Special Roast Pork Bun - the latter took a little longer to arrive, for some reason, but was well worth the wait. Very much enjoyed the pot of green tea. Authentic experience at a very reasonable price! So glad we stopped here.

“Dim Sum Heaven”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2013

Great little restaurant in the heart of Chinatown. The service was good and the food arrived quickly, They have menu's, but you can order the Dim Sum by checking off your selections on a menu page and handing it to the waiter. The restaurant decor is a little old and worn but seemed clean. A good value too, dinner for 3 $34.00! Enough said.

“Authentic 1920's Chinese Parlor Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

I ended up by mistake in this little street a lunch time and discovered this authentic restaurant! It's simply Amazing orginal Chinese food and cheap ! The place was packed, the decor looks like you are in the 1920's. You must try if you never tried it ! I will come back soon !

“Great dim sum at low price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

We visited for lunch after reading about Nom Wah Tea Parlor online. It is fairly unassuming from the outside but you will not be disappointed by the food.
We ended up ordering way too much for two of us. They are generous portions for two people, especially the turnip cake and the egg-fried rice (both delicious and plentiful!)
Ate more food than we probably should have but the dim sum and pork bun and rice were all so good we couldn't waste it!
If you are in NY and fancy dim sum, definitely check it out.

“Solid Dim Sum at a decent price....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2013

I visited Nom Wah based on reviews that I had read online. The Dim Sum here is quite tasty and reasonably priced. However, the interior could use a slight facelift as well as a good cleaning but don't let it deter a visit. No locals here; they were all at Bing Wong around the corner.
