“Had a feast!”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

You're in trouble if you have weight issues and go to this shop/deli/restaurant. All the food here is heaven on a plate. There is a lot of everything! The store has large selection of foods from many parts of the world. It's all fresh, displayed attractively, and any reluctance over the price of the food quickly disappears. We closed our eyes, had a feast and worried about the currency conversions later. Of course there are many competitors offering a similar service in NY, but the location of this store was also very convenient for us. Just being in the shop made us feel we were part of the local community. Excellent!

“What a superb place to shop !!!”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

Found this little gem and can highly recommend the food here. Cooked food is absolutely delicious and very cheap. The food is sold by the pound , i bought grilled salmon which was the best i have ever eaten ! hot vegetables, two salads, and my son got a piece of chicken and some soup as well as drinks and the whole lot was only $ 18 USD !! The quality of the food here is exceptional. This market is in Hells Kitchen and there are restaurants close by who dont have food as good as this place.

“Fresh ingredients and a good lunchtime stop”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

This Amish Market location near the UN is bustling at lunchtime, so do not expect to find much--if any--seating, but it is great to grab and go. A well-stocked, fresh salad bar awaits with a particularly good curried chicken salad. The grocery part of the store contains tons of fresh and gourmet ingredients, as well as a nice frozen food section. The produce is one of the highlights, as you can find almost anything...and at reasonable prices.

“Everything is tasty here!”
Reviewed August 25, 2012

We are in NY.for five weeks and live a couple of blocks from this market. It is superb. All fresh fruits and vegetables are in perfect condition. They have a buffet, hot and cold foods, self service and your box is weighed: we chose chicken breast with cheese and tomato, rotisserie chicken breast, swordfish in a tomato and garlic sauce and some beef casserole with ratatouille. It cost under $15 and was, we thought, very tasty and kinda home cooked. You just know there's no chemicals or preservatives in there. This store has a huge selection of cheeses and is a bakery too. All tinned goods etc. Smallish yet perfectly formed. Do not pass by! Especially if you've been walking around all day and don't want to cook in the evening. Go.....

“Has everything from full groceries to great fresh prepared food”
Reviewed June 28, 2012

If you need any form of grocery (fruit, veggies, meat, fish canned good etc..) this place has everything. It has its own bakery area an a large prepared food section with an olive bar, salad bar, fresh baked pizzas, sandwiches, paninis, calzones, etc... Prices are not bad for downtown either. Good place to stock up for your day out, or to grab a quick bit to eat.
