“Plenty of Good Food”
Reviewed June 23, 2014

This restaurant is not fancy, not pretentious-- just very good. Portions are generous without being ridiculous, and very reasonably priced.

Service was efficient but not overdone. Not a lot of running around, but there weren't a lot of idle customers either-- the restaurant was busy and people were eating!

Recommended? The pho was very highly recommended and didn't disappoint. Pork dumplings were interesting and tasty. Soft shell crab was also quite good.

Not recommended: red bean ice cream. This sounds exotic-- maybe it is-- but it actually had no very recognizable or interesting flavor. Don't bother.

On the whole, a good meal for a good price, worth your time and money-- not always the case in New York City!

“try the pork chops...”
Reviewed June 16, 2014

Whenever we travel somewhere we let our 6 y son choose one restaurant of his liking, this time he wanted a Chinese, well Thai Son is actually a Vietnamese restaurant, but what a fine gem he found. The service is fast and meets expectations, but most important the food is excellent, tasty and spicy. My son had the pork chops and WOW, best ones ever had. I ordered the sautéed beef in noodle soup, excellent. We shared a table but that actually added to our positive experience. Seriously if you're in Chinatown try this one

“Cheap Price for Decent Pho”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

If you're a pho and spring roll lover, this is the restaurant to be at. My favorite is the No. 1 on the menu. I have been here at least 3 times because the food price is fairly reasonable including tips in the heart of New York City Chinatown. For really great pho, I think Philadelphia and Las Vegas are the place to go to.

“Great thai food”
Reviewed May 8, 2014

We visited few times this restaurant, which found by accident. Menu list is wide and great, a lot of choices, from mild to spicy ones. Polite service.

“This is NOT Vietnamese food”
Reviewed April 20, 2014

I am a big fan of Vietnamese food so we have picked this restaurant. I did not know what to expect but I thought: hey, why not.
Our starter: fresh springrols were good. But main dish was a big disappointment. Trust me, as I've been to Vietnam and many Vietnamese restaurants, this is far the worst. Toillets were VERY dirty, staff not at all professional (you got your bill while you were still eating), and food was in general poor.
