This restaurant is not fancy, not pretentious-- just very good. Portions are generous without being ridiculous, and very reasonably priced.
Service was efficient but not overdone. Not a lot of running around, but there weren't a lot of idle customers either-- the restaurant was busy and people were eating!
Recommended? The pho was very highly recommended and didn't disappoint. Pork dumplings were interesting and tasty. Soft shell crab was also quite good.
Not recommended: red bean ice cream. This sounds exotic-- maybe it is-- but it actually had no very recognizable or interesting flavor. Don't bother.
On the whole, a good meal for a good price, worth your time and money-- not always the case in New York City!
