Description: Home style cooking at its best is our mantra. Our restaurant is located in the busy streets of Tribecca but one step inside instantly transports you to a quaint country diner in the heart of the New England country side. The pink polka dot wainscoting and tin ceilings along with our funky homemade tables made from salvaged doors adds to the cottage feel. You are met at the door with our abundantly filled pastry cases. The shelves are filled with our homemade layer cakes, flaky pies, iced cupcakes, fruit crisps, and so much more to tempt you on your way to a table. Kitchenette can satisfy all your cravings whether it be an oasis from the cold with our own hot chocolate topped with a homemade marshmallow, or a steamy bowl of chicken soup or a hearty meal of turkey meatloaf and mashed potatoes. We are a home away from home. Come visit us for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Brunch or an afternoon slice of cake and coffee. Hope to see you in our restaurant. Lisa and Ann

Can you write a review if it's your local? We live a few doors down and go here all the time... the breakfast food is consistently excellent - the eggs, pancakes, waffles, but it’s the cakes and cookies that draw your eye. And they all have a lovely homemade look and taste to them. The burgers are good, the chili is excellent. The decor is funky and sweet, and the service is excellent.

Crazy on the weekends, if you are visiting NYC, come during a weekday, same food/ambience without the lines. 10.30 am is perfect for a weekday brunch, between the rushes... (lunch gets really busy too)

It's comfort food done right. Reasonable prices for New York/Tribeca (probably pricey elsewhere but the rent is ridiculous here!) Come once, you'll come again...

Loved the look and feel of this place. My boyfriend and I went for breakfast; the scrambled eggs were lovely but the turkey sausage was really dry as a bone. My breakfast came with pancakes which had a lovely flavour from not using white flour but they were a bit stodgy. The service was friendly and efficient and the cakes and naughty things looked fabulous; I unfortunately didn't get back to try them

I was tempted in my the decor and cakes I could see through the window. Went for Turkey meatloaf and pumpkin pie and enjoyed it! Friendy, jolly staff - comfortable, casual spot.

We travelled to NYC from Wales, UK and having researched the best restaurant reviews beforehand - made a beeline to Kitchenette! We were not disappointed - it was by far the best breakfast we had during our stay in the City. Our teenage kids loved the feel of the place and the pancakes were out of this world! The staff was very helpful and friendly - I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting an authentic American breakfast! Yum!

Went to kitchenette for breakfast on our first morning in NYC. Had the kitchenette special, which was very nice and the wife had french toast with all the trimmings. The cakes look absolutely wonderful, however, due to the large portions we got for our meal, there was no room left to sample them. The staff were friendly and the whole place has a kind of quirkiness about it. A must try is of course their famous pink lemonade which is very nice indeed. Overall a lovely place and highly recommended.
