Eisenberg's is vintage New York---a long counter with two dozen swiveling stools, and an even longer menu with just about every comfort food dish you can imagine. If you're craving a Reuben and a lime rickey, or all-day breakfast paired with an egg cream, this is the place. Service is friendly and prices are reasonable.

Just back from the Flatiron area in NYC . Found Eisenbergs on our first day there while looking for a breakfast place for the next morning . Had a simple hot breakfast three mornings in a row. It was fast, delicious and as a bonus the staff was friendly. It is NOT an upscale trendy restaurant but something out of the past that has lasted because of its uncomplicated food and good service. Loved the step back in time !!

Maybe your grandfather could make it to lunch, but you can picture him eating here. They probably have not painted the place since his last visit! Fortunately, the food is fresh and quick, and the menu has something for everyone. I personally liked that I could get a nice omelet for lunch. The pickles on every table are very good as well.

TIP: The place is long and narrow. Don't panic if you don't immediately see a spot - just keep walking towards the back.

We ate here for breakfast one morning while staying in NYC for the week. We read about it in a copy of "Vintage New York" as a MUST stop place. I think the author had a deal with everyone in that book. I love Deli style sandwiches and food. This place was poor everything. We had a party of three and the only place to sit was in the rear of the restaurant. We went in sat down and the waitress just rolled her eyes and acted Aggravated that we would make her walk so far. I ordered the pastrami and egg sandwich and my wife for the corned beef hash. The hash was out of a can and my pastrami did have good flavor it was kind'a chewy and tough. The experience really pretty much sucked and because of the poor service and poor quality of food suggest everyone NOT to go there. There are much better places to eat for breakfast.

Great place to have a sandwiches or hamburgers, with high quality meat and ingredients. Plus the atmosphere is so newyorker that you cannot afford to missi it. All my family was extremely satisfied by the place and the food, we are italians so imagine how picky we are when it comes to enjoing food. Please go and check by yourself. Do not miss it. It is closed in the evening, so make sure you are there for lunch.
