We stopped at Neil's for breakfast on the last morning of our one-week stay in New York. We had various breakfasts, ranging from fried eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns and toast to pancakes with maple syrup. The servce was friendly, quick and excellent. The food was what you'd expect from a good diner and overall it was a great experience. Inc. tax + tips it cost $15 per head, which would be pricey in Florida, but isn't bad for The Big Apple.

The price is not cheap, but I guess it is average for Upper East Side standard.

Food is great if you crave some omlette or waffles in the area.

Try the chocolate shake.... it's one of the best I have tried.

Better make reservation if coming during lunch.

Great Reuben sandwich, served with cole slaw and pickles. Enough for two. Prompt and friendly service.

Good neighborhood diner. Don't sit in the back when it's cold. When patrons use the back door it's freezing

If you have fond memories of going to the coffee shop 30 years ago then Neil's is a trip down memory lane. A crowed little place on Lexington Avenue Neil's serves all the usual fare; Belgian waffles, eggs any style and of course the staples, the Ruben sandwich with corned beef or pastrami.
Service was quick and cheerful. The California omelette was very good service with fries. $25 for two. They also do takeout and have free delivery.
