After a long afternoon at the MET we were advised to walk Madison for some place to eat. After a few blocks we saw the awning for Serafina and took the walk up. Only a staircase from the street, host stand is a floor up. One more floor up and we sat down. Just dark enough to be cozy and just noisy enough to be energizing.
Waiters came and refilled drinks promptly until we got our food, got a little slower after that. Around $20 for an Italian sized pizza, one you don't share. Although you will definitely want to make trades with whomever you're with. The Margherita pizza was quite light on the basil but a small request brought more quickly.
All in all, next time I happen to be in NYC, I will be glad to revisit Serafina Fabulous Pizza.
